The Invitation

More than a tasting. A seat at the table.

From your first serious bourbon to the bottle you've been saving for years, Ramon turns every pour into an evening you'll still be telling people about.

Ramon knows the technical side of bourbon — mash bills, barrel char, why one finish reads so differently from another — but he'd rather show you than lecture you. Expect great pours, unexpected discoveries, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Nonno's note

Most of what I know, I learned by asking dumb questions at someone else's table. Now it's my turn to host.

What You'll Discover

Six moments between the first pour and the last.

The evening moves at conversation pace — look, smell, taste, compare, and talk bourbon together. Ramon keeps the notes. You just enjoy the pour.

Start with the glass. Colour, clarity, and those slow-moving legs can tell you a surprising amount before the first sip.

Nonno's note

Tilt the glass. Trust your nose. And don't overthink the legs — the bourbon still has to taste good.

Cuban-born, with a love for good food, great company, and a life well lived.

Why they call him Nonno

It started as a name he wanted his first grandchild to call him. Somewhere along the way, it grew into more than a nickname — it became his personality, and then his brand.

How bourbon started

Why Nonno Reviews exists

Because bourbon is better when it's shared. Nonno built an evening around great pours, good conversation, and no reason to rush.

Nonno's note

Ask me anything. Worst case, I'll tell you I don't know.
